Today we went to visit my grandmother and noticed my dad trying to kill a rather large timber rattlesnake. As you can see in the above photo of my wife holding the catch, We Won! We decided to save the skin. Guess what we are having for dinner 😉 Crotalus – the other white meat!

My family killed a rather large copperhead which was playing around an area inhabited by young children. The snake was about 30″ long, the second snake killed in that spot this year.

We have a new pet snake, this one is a Rough Green Snake that is around 7″ long. He/She is so beautiful. Pictures to come soon.
