I went outside today and noticed this rather large yellow jacket looking wasp (roughly 1¼ inchs or 3.125cm). I don’t think this is a yellow jacket because I read that they are usually no more than ¾” in size. Clicking any of the photos will yield a larger image (~2mb).

This is the moth which called me out earlier to the porch to see (thus resulting in a lockout). It is a very beautiful Io Moth, whose caterpillar has a pretty nasty sting.

Me and Elli went out for a walk tonight and noticed this glowing worm at the side of the road and decided to bring it home photograph it and see if we could identify it. [nggallery id=5] If anyone knows what this worm is then please let me know 🙂
