The Sixties Nine Limited Edition Magnums

Oh these things are just incredible. Its icecream at its finest in a clever marketing idea too.

These are 9 different flavoured iceblocks (icecreams on a stick) sold here in Australia. Each of the 9 sticks have a different slogan printed on them which cannot be read till you have consumed the iceblock.

They are as follows:

#1Wood Choc – Fudge icecream surrounded by white and milk chocolate layer. “It’s the summer of love, and the festival’s all about loving the ice cream. Slide your naked tastebuds through thick mud icecream and rock on and on and on. (stick says “share love not icecream”)

#2 Cherry Guevara – Vanilla icecream slathered with cherry sauce, with a milk chocolate outside. “The revolutionary struggle of the cherries was squashed as they were trapped between two layers of chocolate. May their memory live on in your mouth!” (stick says “we will bite to the end!”

#3 Peace Man Go! – Heart shaped mango icecream covered in a white chocolate exterior.”All we are saying is give mango a chance a chance as chocolate, a chance as ice cream. Yeah man, peace, like, mango.” (stick says “lick man don’t bite”)

#4 Candy Warhol – Musk icecream inside, with a white chocolate exterior. The white chocolate exterior has embedded in it fizzy candy pieces. “Critics describe this piece as ‘brillo’. The chocolate literally explodes colour into your mouth whilst the musk ice cream is quite simply stunning. This is not soup this is ice cream.” (stick says “simply explosive”)

#5 Jami Hendrix – strawberry jam swirled vanilla icecream covered in milk chocolate exterior. “This is so foxy it will make your hair curl. An awesome strawberry jam riff plays its way through mellow vanilla ice cream. It’s solid choc rock at its best.” (stick says “now you’re experienced”)

#6 Guava Lamp – Guava and vanilla icecream with a green coloured white chocolate exterior. “Switch on the ultimate mood enhancer – chillin’ guava blobbing in vanilla ice cream and embraced in groovy white chocolate. Yeah baby, now we’re in the mood!” (stick says “bet you’d lava-nother one”)

#7 Cinnaman on the Moon – white chocolate icecream with a cinnamon spiced white chocolate exterior. “Houston we have an ice cream. A cinnamon chocolate with white chocolate ice cream has been launched. That’s one small step for Magnum, one giant lick for ice cream.” (stick says “feelin’ spacey?”)

#8 John Lemon – Lemon sherbet surrounded by white chocolate shell. “We lay in bed until we created this ice cream. Imagine all the zesty lemon sherbet living life in peaceful white chocolate. Just try letting that be.” (stick says “imagine if you’d eaten it in bed”)

#9 Choc Work Orange – Orange flavoured white chocolate exterior with milk chocolate icecream inside. It has the R for Restricted film classification logo and then this: “Should the orange chocolate be seen? Should the chocolate ice cream be made public? While the controversy rages on, this remains a cult classic. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.” (stick says “one blink and it was gone”)

I am collecting the sticks and wrappers as they are limited edition iceblocks. Plus if nothing else you can send in the sticks with $6.10 and get a tshirt.
