Net Censorship & Supreme Court

Was reading my Yahoo News today and came across this article:

You know, it sickens me that a few Americans think that the net should be kid-friendly. If a person has a kid and they have some desire to limit the content that the child is capable of viewing they should install net filters. If they feel that net-filters are not secure enough to prevent an accidental viewing of what they see as taboo content then they should remove their childs internet access entirely. Why spoil something that adults enjoy simply to make it kid safe. If these censorship proponents had their way our internet would be a curbed down version of sesame street. I think its the parents responsibility to set limits on when/what/where their child views content. Only lazy assed parents who are to stupid or lazy or cheap to purchase net filters for their computers would be pro censorship of the net.

I have an idea. Why don’t Jane and John Doe quit using the internet and tv as babysitters for their kids. Why don’t they physically take steps to govern their childrens viewing of material instead of trying to ruin everything for adults. Adults rights to view adult content as they desire is primary to that of children. The internet should be more an Adult tool than a childs playground imho.
