Plantae

With the warm rains of the a few days ago nature has started showing off her green thumb.

This week me and my wife () found these lovely white daisy like flowers with creamy yellow centers with tiny little leaves that were Bloodroot:

Also this week my Flowering Quince burst into blossom.
Chaenomelea speciosa (Flowering Quince)

And then my Peach Tree’s blossoms popped open overnight.
Prunus persica (Peach Tree)

And yesterday my wife (who is obsessed with morels) found two yellow morels in my yard after a gentle nights rain.

I made it a point to collect and plant some of the Sanguinaria canadensis (Blood Root) at my home for future medicinal uses (that and it’s so damn pretty).

We tried to incorporate the Chaenomelea speciosa (Flowering Quince) into a photoshoot but the weather and the plants thorns were to big an obstacle.

We still are waiting for the Morchella esculenta (Yellow Morels or what appalachian people call “Hickory Chickens”) to grow just a bit larger so we can have a great meal.

Also worth noting is that my wife () found a lucky penny, and a four leaf clover the day she found the very rare (and pricey) Yellow Morels.
