My Oregon Chai
Here is my recipe for Oregon Chai
2 Black Tea Bags
1 Cups Boiling Water
1 Cups Whole Milk
¼ tsp Ground Cinnamon
¼ tsp Ground Cloves
1/16 tsp Ground Nutmeg
4 tbs Sugar (to taste)
Gently open the teabag and insert the cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, reseal the bag. The easiest way I found to do this is undo the staple which holds the bag closed and insert your material and then fold it a few times and staple it closed with a desk stapler.
Steep teabags in the boiling water, stirring periodically.
Add the sugar and stir.
Add the milk to the tea mixture and serve either hot or cold.
You can keep the tea mixture seperate from the milk and use at a later date.
Do keep it refrigerated in an airtight container.
