So Long Wisdom

Well I had one of my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday.

The dentist was really quite good at explaining his actions to me prior to engaging in them.  I literally felt nothing but the pressure.  He said the extraction went easy.  No noticeable cheek swelling, no real pain.  I still retain the blood clot so if I can avoid loosing that then in a week or two I should be ignoring that region of my mouth.

I am still a bit shy about eating though as I definately do not want to form a dry socket.

I had only three wisdom teeth total, and they yanked ’em all at once under general anaesthesia. I didn’t swell up, but it hurt to open my mouth all the way and ached for a day or two. I only took two of the prescription painkillers they gave me in all. Then by the third day I was eating egg rolls. It’s nice when there’s a quick and easy recovery.

You know that is very comforting to hear because almost everything I have found on the web is a horror story of this and that going wrong.

It is quite pleasant to know that in a few days I will be noshing happily again 🙂
