They look so delicious!
April 20th, 2006 at 7:53 pmOh they are soo good.
Falafels are a Middle Eastern dish, where chickpeas are a staple food. I think some cinemas in Canada sell falafel’s sorta like they do popcorn here in USA.
I bet you would like them, and you know another really good dish with chickpeas is another Middle Eastern dish called “Hummus” which is an incredible spread and dip made from chickpeas. I think my memories for my journal has a recipe for a black olive hummus 🙂
If you ever do try them, I suggest buying the canned variety as they can take an incredible amount of time to cook. Chickpeas aren’t quite like other lentils, because they stay sorta crunchy. Chickpeas are sometimes known by the name Garbanzo beans.
April 20th, 2006 at 11:24 pmPickled beet, huh? Interesting. I like making a lemon-honey-tahini dressing for them.
April 21st, 2006 at 6:52 amI do love tahini, was going to use tzatziki, but our cucumber was simply not up to par.
Pickled beets are used by me quite a bit, even on burgers. I make my own pickled beets 🙂
