History Exam, China Star Buffet, and P38 Flight

We visited Middlesboro for to sit her history exam. Afterwards we visited several of the shops and had dinner at China Star Buffet. I rather enjoyed their snow crab legs and sushi. They don’t quite stack up to Chinatown Café in quality of food, but they did offer us the opportunity to a few new things. I was quite fond of the pickled ginger.

Oh I also saw a historic P38 plane in flight. It was a maintenance flight for the vintage plane. I was surprised at the incredible maneuverability of the plane and it’s raw power. This plane made a variety of low pass straifing like maneuvers over the runway and showed it’s nimble nature via beautiful aerial acrobatics.< . Middlesboro is home to I think the only flyable P38 plane. The plane was rescued from a glacier in Greenland and fully restored. I was very very lucky to get to see this plane in flight, as it is flown quite infrequently. Unfortunately I didn't get the camera out in time to get any good photos of the P38 but here is a photo I found off the web which shows the beauty of their design.

I would rather enjoy owning and of course flying a plane like that.

At the shop’s we also picked up 1lb of chunk feta, ½lb of neufchatel, and block of miso at the shops.

Gas prices are pretty good at $2.03 @ gallon ( .54 USD per litre).
