Well Elli and I are finally back.

Places we visited:
Moultrie Georgia (stayed with friends)
Reed Bingham State Park
Gin Creek (Elli helped photograph a wedding there)

Mashes Sands Beach
Savannah Georgia

While in Savannah we ate at Paula Deen’s restaurant “The Lady and Sons”, it was incredible! We had to stand in line for a little over an hour just to get a reservation for later that night, had a bit of drama in which our reservation was misplaced but fortunately we sorted that out and enjoyed a delightful meal on the 3rd floor.

This was what remained of the waiting line after we received our reservations. Did I mention it was around 97°F outside. After getting reservations you arrive 15 minutes before your reservations time and wait on the opposite street for your name to be called out and you are given a card telling you which floor you will be eating on. From what I gathered 1st floor and 3rd floor are dining, with the kitchen on the 2nd floor.

The meal began with a hoe cake, followed by an incredible garlic & cheese biscuit, followed by me eating off the buffet. Elli went with the crab cakes and black beans and rice. Paula’s sweet tea was the best ever.
