Onion Rings
I made deliciously crispy and tasty onion rings from a delicious recipe on foodnetwork.
1C AP Flour
1tsp Salt
1½tsp Baking Powder
1 Egg (separated)
3/4C Milk
1tbs Vegetable Oil
1 Large Vidalia Onion (sliced into 1/8th inch rings)
Mix the flour, baking powder, salt together in one bowl, in another bowl whip the egg whites to stiff peak, and in yet another bowl whisk the milk, egg yolk, and vegetable oil.
Mix the flour mixture with the milk mixture, and then gently fold the egg white into the batter.
Dip the rings in the batter and fry in your choice of oil that is heated to 360°F til golden, flipping halfway through the frying.
oh em gee!
